These receptors are particularly abundant in scalp follicles and play a key role in male and female pattern hair loss. Overactivation can lead to miniaturization of hair follicles.
Red light therapy does not directly alter androgen receptor activity, but by improving cellular function and reducing inflammation, it may support hair growth in areas affected by hormonal signaling.
